WORKS AT HAYLE BRIDGE RECEIVE PRAISE FROM CINNAMON TRUST CHARITY

Cairn Cross receive commendation for its professionalism and installation of a patio area for the Cinnamon Trust in Hayle, Cornwall.

These works were carried out as a thank you to the Trust for allowing Cairn Cross to utilise part of their land in undertaking strengthening works of the bridge leading to Home Bargains in Hayle. The bridge spans the Copperhouse Pool tidal reservoir.

The works required gaining access to the underside of the bridge, and the design specified the installation of a Kentledge Block in the riverbed to provide a base to erect the scaffolding.

The installation of a Kentledge Block is a tried and tested way of providing a solid temporary base, but with the installation being in the riverbed, Cairn Cross wanted to avoid this due to potential impacts on the riverbed habitat and surrounding ecosystem.

Cinnamon Trust spokesperson Karen Barlow said, “We are delighted with our patio and can’t wait to be able to use it! Thank you also for the extremely professional way in which all the works were carried out, with minimum intrusion, hassle and upheaval – very much appreciated by all of us here!”

Cairn Cross contact the Cinnamon Trust, whose land is directly adjacent to the Home Bargains site, and in an ideal position to base the scaffolding.

The Cinnamon Trust is the only specialist national charity which seeks to relieve the anxieties and problems, faced by elderly and terminally ill people and their pets, thereby saving a great deal of human sadness and animal suffering.
