Wenlock Olympic Games

 

CAIRN CROSS DIRECTOR COMPLETES THE WENLOCK OLYMPIC GAMES

Cairn Cross Technical Director, Ian Bald, took part in the 132nd Wenlock Olympian Games 2018, resulting in a personal best for the Wenlock Triathlon.

The 28th running of the Wenlock Triathlon took place on Sunday 8th July. The event consisted of a 500m swim in the Much Wenlock leisure centre, a 19km bike ride from Much Wenlock through Buildwas, Leighton, Cressage and Sheinton, and a 7km run through trails and roads to Wyke before finally finishing on the Gaskell field in Much Wenlock.

Ian Bald commented: "It was a great race and a lot of fun. I completed the course in 1 hour 59 minutes and 30 seconds which is a personal best".

A huge congratulations to Ian for putting a great performance.
