Cairn Cross Civil Engineering Limited are a well-established Leeds based small to medium sized Civil Engineering Contractor delivering design and building contracts for UK infrastructure.

 

The Role

 

We are seeking an excellent Site Manager with proven skills and experience ideally from a civil engineering background to join our team and report to the Contracts Director.

 

The successful candidate will be able to work successfully as part of a team and positively contribute to the everyday Site requirements of the business.

The ideal candidate would be qualified, confident and experienced with design and build contracts through design development, delivery and handback.

 

They would have excellent verbal and written communication skills with both stakeholders, contractors and site staff, have a proven track record of motivating teams to deliver works on programme, within budget, whilst promoting a positive safety culture.

 

Duties to include:

• To be responsible for the day to day control of all HSQE matters on the appointed site(s).
• Supervision of site labour and any sub-contractors to ensure efficient working always.
• Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed.
• Continued and specific liaison with the client on all project matters.
• Progress monitoring & reporting.
• Assess costs, arrange materials and equipment in a timely manner.
• Identify any problems/delays/additional works as soon as possible, ensuring that the Contracts Director is informed always.
• Be responsible for the setup of the construction site.
• Consult the Health and Safety Advisor and Contracts Director if you have any concerns or positive feedback about the safety performance.
• Be accountable to the Contracts Director
• Implementation and completion of site QA plan
